A heartbreaking, yet hopeful, story
"My Brother's Story" confronts the painful reality of reentry when mental health needs go unmet—and the hope that compassionate care can offer in its place.
Our colleague, Michal Rudnick, sits down with Dr. Laura Nelson for a powerful and heartfelt conversation about her brother.
Our work
We have successfully guided states through every phase of waiver development and approval—from policy design to fiscal analysis and financial modeling. Whether you are launching a new waiver or managing a complex renewal, our dedicated team possesses the talent and experience to help you achieve your goals and make a meaningful impact.
Pharmacy Focus
Under the Section 1115 reentry waiver, states can extend Medicaid coverage prior to release from incarceration, allowing for critical pharmacy benefits to begin before individuals reenter the community. This includes access to medications for chronic conditions, behavioral health needs, and opioid use disorder.
We help states design pharmacy strategies that ensure continuity of care, reduce treatment gaps, and support successful reentry through timely and appropriate medication access.
Our work often focuses on supporting people with opioid use disorder by helping states build systems that enable timely access to treatment both upon release and post-release, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), care coordination, and behavioral health supports.
